Aston Villa faced off against Lille at the Stade Pierre Mauroy earlier this evening as they looked to secure a good result in the first leg of their UEFA Europa League last 16 tie. The Villans made a solid start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.
Ollie Watkins finally broke the deadlock in the 61st minute as Unai Emery’s men secured a narrow 1-0 win away from home.
Let’s take a look at how each Aston Villa player fared during the clash against Lille.

CB: Ezri Konsa – 7/10
He cleared his lines when he could and did well to keep the opposition at bay during the game.
CB: Pau Torres – 7/10
The Spanish defensive ace dealt with the danger when needed and was a strong presence in the air.

He was a positive influence at both ends of the field.
