Manchester United Are Among The Clubs Hoping To Land This Barcelona Ace: Good Fit For Carrick?

In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Manchester United are among the clubs hoping to land Barcelona ace Alejandro Balde. It has been claimed that the Red Devils would have to rival Manchester City and Aston Villa in the race to land the Spanish left-back this summer.

Balde’s Impressive Form In Spanish Football

Balde has served as an important member of Barca’s squad in this campaign so far. The Spanish talent has participated in 34 matches for the Catalan outfit this season, securing three assists in the process across all competitions.

When fit, the 22-year-old remains one of the best young left-backs in La Liga. Therefore, it makes sense for Man United to try and get him on board this summer.

His current contract at the Nou Camp will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for the Red Devils to sign him on the cheap later this year.

Is Balde A Good Fit For Manchester United?

Balde is a solid tackler of the ball and can sense the danger well to earn possession back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when required and can even create the odd chance for his teammates from the left flank.

The Spanish sensation is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet. Balde is primarily a left-back but can also fill in as a left-winger if told to do so by his manager. However, it remains to be seen whether he can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League if the Red Devils manage to snap him up later this year.

We can expect Balde to add more quality and depth to Man United head coach Michael Carrick’s defence. He has what it takes to nail down a regular first-team spot at the Mancunian club in the coming years.

At 22, Balde has got the ceiling to be a world-class player in his position someday. He might even help Man United compete across all competitions in the future. All in all, Balde would be a great fit for the Mancunian outfit’s needs in the long run.
