Aston Villa entertained Lille at Villa Park earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result in the second leg of their UEFA Europa League last-16 tie. The Villans made a bright start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.
John McGinn scored the opener in the 54th minute before Leon Bailey put daylight between the two sides as he scored in the 86th minute. The match ended with Unai Emery’s men securing a solid 2-0 win on the night (3-0 on aggregate).
