Liverpool welcomed Galatasaray at Anfield earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a win in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League last-16 clash. The Reds made a bright start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 25th minute thanks to Dominik Szoboszlai’s great strike. The Merseyside club failed to add to their lead and went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.
Hugo Ekitike doubled his team’s advantage in the 51st minute before Ryan Gravenberch got his name on the scoresheet just a couple of minutes later. Mohamed Salah joined in on the goal-scoring act with an excellent finish in the 62nd minute. Arne Slot’s men ended up cruising to a dominant 4-0 win (4-1 on aggregate) in front of their home fans.

Mac Allister performed his defensive duties well and was a constant menace in the final third.

He was a real threat on the right flank. Salah missed a penalty but scored a good goal in the second half and has also got an assist to his name.
