In a recent report, Calciomercato.it claimed that Arsenal are showing interest in Red Star Belgrade playmaker Vasilije Kostov. It has been mentioned that the Gunners are eyeing a move to bring the Serbian talent to North London this summer.
Kostov’s Impressive Rise In Serbian Football
Kostov has come through the youth ranks of Red Star and has done well to establish himself as an important member of their senior team. The 17-year-old has already made 36 senior appearances for the Belgrade-based outfit so far, scoring 12 goals and picking up six assists in various competitions.
The Serbian playmaker is among the best young talents in European football. Therefore, Arsenal would do well to bring him on board this summer.
His current contract at Red Star will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for the Gunners to land him on the cheap later this year.

Arsenal Are Showing Interest In Kostov: Is He A Prospect For The Future?
Kostov can create some space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He can shoot the ball with power from long range and has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates on the offensive end of the field.
The Serbian whizkid has already added a handful of goals and assists to his game. Kostov is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also operate as a box-to-box midfielder or as a right-sided wide player if told to do so by his manager. However, he is still quite inexperienced at the highest level and would need time to prove his worth in the Premier League.
Kostov would no doubt enhance the quality of Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta’s frontline. He is already good enough to serve as a decent, rotational piece in the North London club’s squad.
At 17, the future looks quite bright for Kostov as long as he continues to improve with each year. Thus, it makes sense for Arsenal to go all out to bring him to the Emirates Stadium at the end of this campaign. All in all, Kostov is undoubtedly a prospect to watch out for in the future, so Arteta would be wise to move in for him later this summer.
