Arsenal Are Keeping A Keen Eye On This Borussia Dortmund Talent: Should Arteta Snap Him Up?

In a recent report, Sky Deutschland revealed that Arsenal are keeping a keen eye on Borussia Dortmund talent Julian Brandt. It has been stated that the Gunners are monitoring the gifted playmaker’s situation at the German club ahead of a potential move for him next summer.

Brandt’s Decent Form In The Bundesliga

Brandt has produced a string of impressive displays for the German club on the offensive end of the field this season. The 29-year-old has found the back of the net ten times and picked up three assists in 32 matches for Borussia Dortmund this season in multiple competitions.

The German talent is currently among the best attackers in the Bundesliga. Thus, it is no wonder that the Gunners are keeping tabs on his situation at Dortmund.

His current contract at Signal Iduna Park will expire at the end of this campaign, which could open the door for Arsenal to snap him up on a free transfer next summer.

Should Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta Snap Brandt Up?

Brandt is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with it in and around the opponent’s penalty area. He can create a few inviting chances for others around him in the final third and is a good striker of the ball from long range.

The German sensation can chip in by scoring his fair share of goals up top. Brandt is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also play as a winger on either flank if told to do so. However, only time will tell whether he can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League if the Gunners manage to sign him this summer.

Brandt will undoubtedly enhance the quality of Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta’s frontline. He is more than capable of securing a regular first-team spot at the North London club in the coming seasons.

At 29, Brandt is enjoying his prime at the moment, which makes him a decent choice for the North London club to consider later this year. Plus, he is on an expiring contract, so Arteta would be wise to go all out to snap him up on a free transfer this off-season.
