Wissa, Gordon And Barnes To Start | 3-4-3 Newcastle United Predicted Lineup Vs Liverpool

Newcastle United will lock horns with Liverpool at Anfield this Saturday as they look to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Magpies managed to grind out a 1-1 draw away at Paris Saint-Germain recently, which should give them some confidence going into this game.

Eddie Howe will opt for the 3-4-3 formation and is expected to make a few changes to his starting XI for this clash. Yoane Wissa, Anthony Gordon and Harvey Barnes could all play from the start of this game.

3-4-3 Newcastle United Predicted Lineup To Face Liverpool

Defence

Nick Pope will function in goal for the Magpies after conceding one goal in his last outing. Howe could choose to go with a back three of Malick Thiaw, Sven Botman and Dan Burn as they focus on keeping the opposition attackers frustrated throughout the 90 minutes.

Alex Murphy will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Bruno Guimaraes and Sandro Tonali will play as the holding midfielders as they try to win the 50-50 duels in the middle of the park. Lewis Hall will get the nod to impress as the left-sided wide player, while Kieran Trippier hopes to make a difference from the right flank.

Jacob Ramsey and Lewis Miley will have to be content with a place on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required. However, Joelinton will be sidelined for this game because of an injury.

Attack

Anthony Gordon will try to put his pace to good use on the left flank, while Harvey Barnes looks to prove his worth as the right-winger. Both of them will look to get in behind the opponent’s backline at every chance they can get.

Yoane Wissa will lead the charge for the Tyneside club up top. He has to find a way to cause some problems for the Liverpool defenders this Saturday.

Nick Woltemade and Anthony Elanga will be named on the Newcastle bench as they wait for their opportunity to influence the game in the final quarter of the game if the Magpies are in need of a goal by then.
