In a recent report for the Daily Briefing, journalist Mark Brus claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha. It has been mentioned that Spurs would have to compete with Manchester United and Chelsea in the race to land the German midfield ace this year.
Nmecha’s Impressive Form In German Football
Nmecha is having a decent campaign at the German club as he has put in a string of impressive displays for them in the Bundesliga. The German talent has found the back of the net on five occasions and earned three assists in 29 appearances for Borussia Dortmund this season across all competitions.
The 25-year-old is currently among the best midfielders in the Bundesliga. Hence, Spurs would do well to get a deal done for him this year.
Nmecha is under contract at the Signal Iduna Park until the summer of 2028. Hence, it won’t be easy for Tottenham to sign him on a cut-price deal this year.

Will Nmecha Be A Good Choice For Tottenham Hotspur?
Nmecha loves a tackle and can time his challenges well to secure possession back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when required and is a good passer of the ball as well.
The German sensation can even contribute by scoring and creating a handful of important goals for his team. Nmecha mainly operates as a box-to-box midfielder but can also fill in as a defensive midfielder or play in the number ten position if asked to do so. However, only time will tell whether he can adapt to the physical style and high intensity of the Premier League if Spurs manage to snap him up this year.
We can expect Nmecha to enhance the quality of Tottenham boss Thomas Frank’s midfield department. He is good enough to compete for a regular first-team spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
At 25, Nmecha has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a decent choice for Spurs to pursue this January or at the end of this campaign. Thus, the North London club would be wise to go all out to bring him to England soon.
