The Mancunian giants suffered a poor 2-0 loss at the hands of Manchester United in the Manchester derby recently, so they would be eager to bounce back with a positive result in midweek.
Pep Guardiola will set his side up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first team for this game. Divine Mukasa, Rayan Cherki and Rayan Ait-Nouri could all play from the start of this contest.

Defence
Gianluigi Donnarumma will feature in between the sticks for the Mancunian giants after he shipped in a couple of goals in his last outing. Phil Foden is a doubt for this game. However, Ryan McAidoo will make up the numbers on the bench as he waits for his chance to shine in the latter stages of the game if needed.
