Real Madrid will clash heads with Atletico Madrid at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium this Thursday night as they hope to secure a good result in the Spanish Super Cup. Los Blancos managed to earn a dominant 5-1 win over Real Betis recently, so they would be eager to keep their good form going in the cup.
Xabi Alonso will set his players up in a 4-4-2 formation and is expected to make one change to his first XI for this clash. Dean Huijsen will probably get a chance to feature from the start of this Madrid derby, while Raul Asencio makes way for him and drops to the bench.

Defence
Thibaut Courtois will operate in between the sticks for the Madrid giants after he conceded one goal in his last appearance. Dean Huijsen will function alongside Antonio Rudiger at the heart of the Real Madrid backline as they look to keep things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.
Federico Valverde will try to put in a good performance as the right-back, while Alvaro Carreras looks to shine on the other flank as the left flank. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Raul Asencio will provide cover for the centre-back positions on the bench.

Vinicius Junior and Gonzalo Garcia will spearhead Alonso’s attack up top. Both of them will have to link up well if they want to threaten the Atletico Madrid goal this Thursday night.
Kylian Mbappe will be sidelined for this game as he continues to recover from his knee injury.
