Ekitike And Endo To Start | 4-2-2-2 Liverpool Predicted Lineup Vs Qarabag

Liverpool will entertain Qarabag at Anfield this Wednesday night as they look to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Reds suffered a poor 3-2 loss away at Bournemouth recently, so they would be eager to bounce back with a victory in midweek.

Arne Slot will set his men up in a 4-2-2-2 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first team for this game. Hugo Ekitike and Wataru Endo could both play from the start of this contest.

Defence

Alisson Becker will feature in between the sticks for the Reds after he shipped in three goals in his last appearance. Wataru Endo will function alongside Virgil Van Dijk at the heart of the Liverpool backline as they look to keep the opposition at bay during the game.

Jeremie Frimpong will try to prove his worth as the right-back, while Milos Kerkez looks to give a good account of himself on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will get the license to go forward and express themselves in the final third.

Andy Robertson and Calvin Ramsey will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench. However, Joe Gomez is a major doubt for this game as he continues to recover from a knock.

Midfield

Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch will anchor the midfield for the Merseyside club as they focus on winning the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park.

Florian Wirtz will act as the left-sided attacking midfielder, while Dominik Szoboszlai looks to weave his magic from the right. Both of them will have to carry most of the creative burden for Liverpool in the final third.

Curtis Jones and Rio Ngumoha have to settle for a place on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.

Attack

Hugo Ekitike and Mohamed Salah will lead the charge for the Reds up top. Both of them need to combine well if the Reds are to secure a convincing win in midweek.

Cody Gakpo will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if Liverpool are in need of a goal by then.
