Delap, Acheampong And George To Start | 4-2-3-1 Chelsea Predicted Lineup Vs Pafos

Chelsea will entertain Pafos at Stamford Bridge this Wednesday night as they look to secure a good result at home in the UEFA Champions League. The Blues managed to secure a solid 2-0 win over Brentford recently, which should keep them in good spirits going into this game.

Liam Rosenior will set his players up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make a lot of changes to his first team for this game. Liam Delap, Josh Acheampong and Tyrique George could all play from the start of this contest.

Defence

Robert Sanchez will feature in goal for the Blues after he kept a clean sheet in his last outing. Wesley Fofana will operate alongside Benoit Badiashile at the heart of Rosenior’s defence as they try to keep the opposition attackers frustrated throughout the 90 minutes.

Josh Acheampong will fill in as the right-back, while Jorrel Hato hopes to prove his value on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

Trevoh Chalobah will be rested on the Chelsea bench as he offers cover for the centre-back positions.

Midfield

Enzo Fernandez will play alongside Andrey Santos as they look to anchor the midfield well for Chelsea and engineer some decent chances going forward.

The talented trio of Alejandro Garnacho, Joao Pedro and Tyrique George will operate just ahead of them as part of Rosenior’s attack. All three of them need to combine well if the Blues are to come out on top in midweek.

Cole Palmer, Pedro Neto and Moises Caicedo will be named on the bench as they wait for their chance to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if required. However, Estevao and Jamie Gittens will be sidelined for this game because of injuries.

Attack

Liam Delap will spearhead Rosenior’s attack up top. He has to find a way to cause some problems for the opposition centre-backs during the 90 minutes.

Marc Guiu will have to settle for a place on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the latter stages of the game if Chelsea are in need of a goal by then.
