De Jong To Start, Olmo On The Bench | 4-2-3-1 Barcelona Predicted Lineup Vs Elche

Barcelona will face off against Elche at the Estadio Manuel Martínez Valero on Saturday as they look to secure a victory on the road in La Liga. The Catalan club managed to earn a dominant 4-1 win over Copenhagen recently, which should keep them in good spirits going into this game.

Hansi Flick will set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make one change to his first team for this clash. Frenkie de Jong could play from the start of this game, while Dani Olmo makes way for him and drops to the bench.

Defence

Joan Garcia will feature in between the sticks for the Catalan club after he conceded one goal in his last appearance. Pau Cubarsi will function alongside Gerard Martin at the heart of the Barcelona backline as they look to keep a good shape when defending inside his half.

Alejandro Balde will try to prove his worth as the left-back, while Jules Kounde hopes to impress on the other side as the right-back. Both of them will get the freedom to go forward and express themselves inside the opponent’s half.

Ronald Araujo will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Frenkie de Jong and Eric Garcia will play as the holding midfielders as they look to establish their dominance over the opposition at the centre of the park.

The gifted trio of Raphinha, Fermin Lopez and Lamine Yamal will operate just ahead of them as part of the Barcelona attack. All three of them need to combine well if the Catalan club are to secure maximum points versus Elche this weekend.

Marc Bernal and Marc Casado will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if needed.

Attack

Robert Lewandowski will lead the line for Barcelona up top. He has to figure out a way to be a real menace in the final third.

Ferran Torres and Marcus Rashford will have to settle for a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the latter stages if required.
