Real Madrid clashed heads with Atletico Madrid at the Alinma Bank Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to earn a good result in the Spanish Super Cup. Los Blancos made a bright start to the game and got their noses ahead in the second minute when Federico Valverde found the back of the net. Xabi Alonso’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.

Rodrygo doubled Real Madrid’s advantage in the 55th minute before Alexander Sorloth got a goal back for Diego Simeone’s side just three minutes later. The match ended with Los Blancos earning a narrow 2-1 win in Saudi Arabia.
