Newcastle United will welcome Chelsea at St. James’ Park this Saturday afternoon as they look to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Magpies managed to earn a hard-fought 2-1 win over Fulham in the EFL Cup recently, which should keep them in good spirits ahead of this game.
Eddie Howe will set his team up in a 4-3-3 formation once again and is expected to name a strong first team for this clash. Nick Woltemade, Anthony Gordon and Jacob Murphy could all play from the start of this game.
4-3-3 Newcastle United Predicted Lineup To Face Chelsea
Defence
Aaron Ramsdale will feature in between the sticks for Newcastle after he shipped in one goal in his last outing. Malick Thiaw will function alongside Fabian Schar at the centre of Newcastle‘s defence as they look to keep a good shape when defending inside their half.
Tino Livramento will try to catch the eye as the right back, while Lewis Hall hopes to prove his worth on the other side as the left back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Alex Murphy will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield
Sandro Tonali, Lewis Miley and Bruno Guimaraes will make up Howe’s midfield as they focus on making life tough for the visitors at the centre of the park. All three of them need to move the ball well if they want to create some decent chances on the counter.
Joelinton and Jacob Ramsey will have to be content with a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to shine in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
Anthony Gordon will try to impress as the left-sided wide player, while Jacob Murphy looks to shine as the right-winger. Nick Woltemade will lead the charge for the Tyneside club in the final third. He would be keen on finding the back of the net versus the Blues this weekend after being rested on the bench earlier this week.
Yoane Wissa and Harvey Barnes will make up the numbers on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second half if required.
