Simons, Odobert And Sarr To Start | 4-2-3-1 Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup Vs Newcastle United

Tottenham Hotspur will lock horns with Newcastle United at St. James’ Park this Tuesday night as they look to grab all three points on the road in the Premier League. Spurs suffered a tough 2-1 loss versus Fulham recently, so they would be eager to bounce back with a positive result in midweek.

Thomas Frank will set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make a few changes to his starting XI for this game. Xavi Simons, Wilson Odobert and Pape Matar Sarr could all play from the start of this contest.

Defence

Guglielmo Vicario will operate in between the sticks for Spurs after shipping in two goals against Fulham recently. Kevin Danso will resume his partnership with Micky van de Ven at the centre of the Tottenham backline as they look to keep the opposition attackers frustrated during the 90 minutes.

Pedro Porro will fill in as the right-back, while Destiny Udogie looks to prove his worth on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will get the license to go forward and express themselves in the Newcastle half.

Djed Spence and Ben Davies will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Joao Palhinha and Pape Matar Sarr will anchor the midfield for the North London club. Their main job would be to win the 50-50 duels at the centre of the park and orchestrate some inviting chances for their teammates up top.

The gifted trio of Wilson Odobert, Xavi Simons and Mohammed Kudus will operate just ahead of them as part of the Tottenham attack. All three of them need to be at their best if Spurs are to come away with maximum points from St. James’ Park.

Rodrigo Betancur and Brennan Johnson will have to be content with a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to shine in the second 45 minutes if required.

Attack

Randal Kolo Muani will lead the line for the London giants up top. He has to find a way to be a constant menace in the final third.

Richarlison and Mathys Tel will have to settle for a place on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the latter stages of the game if needed.
