If a recent report from The Daily Record is believed to be true, Rangers are keeping close tabs on Jens Hjerto-Dahl, the Tromso midfield ace, ahead of a potential January transfer. Lars Petter Kaemer-Andressen, the sporting director of the Norwegian outfit, is aware of the interest and could demand a fee of around £3.5m for the former Sunderland and Sheffield United target.
“It is very positive that there is great interest in these players and that they are valued as highly as they are. I believe there will be at least one sale this winter.”
He told AID while discussing the potential winter departures.
Rohl has slowly turned things around at Ibrox after a dismal inception under former boss Russell Martin. Aasgaard, more suited as an advanced playmaker, offers a different kind of threat, and the over-reliance on Raskin, Barron and Diomande could lead to fatigue and fitness towards the backend of the ongoing season.
Hjerto-Dahl, who idolises Paul Pogba, Sergio Busquets, and Ivan Rakitić, is regarded for his physicality, composure with the ball on his feet, vision and technicality. He has the attributes to be a ‘future leader‘, and the Light Blues might hit the jackpot if their offer fascinates the player to part ways with his boyhood club.
