In a recent report, journalist Graeme Bailey claimed that Manchester United are keeping tabs on Anderlecht winger Nilson Angulo as a target. It has been mentioned that the Red Devils are facing competition from Tottenham Hotspur, Brentford, Brighton and Hove Albion and Leeds United in the race to land the Ecuadorian talent next year.
Angulo’s Impressive Form In Belgian Football
Angulo has caught the eye at times with his performances for Anderlecht in the final third this season. The Ecuadorian wide player has scored four goals and grabbed eight assists in 22 appearances for the Belgian club in this campaign so far across all competitions.
The 22-year-old is currently among the best young wingers in the Jupiler Pro League. Hence, it is no surprise that the Red Devils are among the clubs hoping to land him next year.
His current deal with Anderlecht will expire in the summer of 2029, which could make it difficult for Man United to sign him on a cut-price deal in 2026.

Should Manchester United Boss Ruben Amorim Get Angulo On Board?
Angulo is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with it out in the wide areas. He has got the vision to create some inviting chances in the final third and can shoot the ball with venom from long range.
The Ecuadorian talent has already added a few goals and assists to his game. However, the jury is still out on whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Red Devils manage to bring him to the Theatre of Dreams next year.
We can expect Angulo to add more quality and depth to Man United head coach Ruben Amorim’s frontline in the long run. He is already good enough to compete for a regular starting spot at Old Trafford in the coming years.
At 22, Angulo has got the potential to be a future star in English football as long as he continues to improve with each season. Therefore, Amorim would be wise to go all out to get him on board this January or at the end of this campaign.
