Castillo has come through the youth ranks of Quito and has done well to break out as a first-team starter for them recently. The 17-year-old has already made six senior appearances for the Ecuadorian outfit so far, securing one assist in the process across multiple competitions.
The Ecuadorian prospect is currently among the best young midfielders in South American football. Hence, it is no surprise that Man United are among the clubs monitoring his progress at Quito.
However, Castillo is still quite raw and would need time to prove his worth at the highest level. Plus, there are some concerns over whether he can adapt to the physical side and high intensity of English football.
