In a recent report, Le10 Sport mentioned that Liverpool are in the running to land Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola. It has been stated that the Reds would have to rival Arsenal in the race to land the French wide player next year.
Barcola’s Impressive Form In Ligue 1
Barcola has proven his worth at times in the final third and deserves credit for putting in a run of impressive displays for PSG in Ligue 1. The French talent has participated in 18 matches for his current club this season, scoring five goals and grabbing three assists in multiple competitions.
The 23-year-old has given a good account of himself by averaging 3.91 shots per 90 minutes in Ligue 1. He has kept 51.5% of his attempts on target. Barcola has also distributed possession relatively well based on his pass success rate of 83.5% in the French top tier (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the French club will run out in the summer of 2028. Hence, it won’t be easy for the Reds to land him on a cut-price deal next year.

Should Liverpool Boss Arne Slot Snap Barcola Up?
Barcola is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make some decent runs with the ball out on the flanks. He has got the eye to play some decisive passes in the final third and can shoot the ball with power from long range.
The French talent can contribute by scoring his fair share of goals from the wide areas. Barcola is primarily a left-sided wide player but can also fill in as a right-winger or as a centre-forward if asked to do so by his manager.
We can expect Barcola to improve the quality of Liverpool head coach Arne Slot. He would even serve as an ideal long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah at the Merseyside club.
At 23, Barcola has got a bright future ahead of him as long as he continues to improve with each year. He might even help the Reds compete for some major honours over the next few years. Therefore, Liverpool would be wise to go all out to snap him up this winter or at the end of this campaign.
