Manchester City entertained West Ham United at the Etihad Stadium this Saturday as they look to secure a win at home in the Premier League. The Mancunian giants managed to earn a solid 2-0 win over Brentford in the EFL Cup recently, so they would be full of confidence going into this game.
Pep Guardiola will set his side up in a 4-3-2-1 formation and is expected to revert to his strongest XI for this clash. Erling Haaland, Phil Foden and Ruben Dias could all play from the start of the game.
4-3-2-1 Manchester City Predicted Lineup To Face West Ham United
Defence
Gianluigi Donnarumma will function in between the sticks for Man City after being rested in midweek. Ruben Dias will operate alongside Josko Gvardiol at the centre of Guardiola’s defence as they look to keep a good shape at the back throughout the 90 minutes.
Matheus Nunes will try to shine as the right-back, while Nico O’Reilly hopes to prove his worth on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will try to go forward and join in on the attack at every chance they can get.
Nathan Ake will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield
Tijjani Reijnders, Nico Gonzalez and Bernardo Silva will make up Guardiola’s midfield three as they look to dictate the tempo of the game at the centre of the park. All three of them need to retain possession well in the opponent’s half if they want to create some decent chances for their teammates up top.
Phil Foden and Rayan Cherki will play as Man City’s attacking midfielders. They would both have to carry most of the creative burden for the home team up top.
Savinho and Oscar Bobb will have to be content with a place on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second half if required.
Attack
Erling Haaland will spearhead Man City’s attack up top. He would fancy his chances of finding the back of the net versus the Hammers this weekend.
Divin Mukasa will be named on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the latter stages if needed.
