Haaland And Foden Get 9.5 | Manchester City Players Rated In Hard-Fought Win Vs Fulham

Manchester City clashed heads with Fulham at Craven Cottage earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. Pep Guardiola’s players made a good start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 17th minute thanks to Erling Haaland’s effort.

Tijjani Reijnders doubled Man City’s advantage in the 37th minute before Phil Foden got his name on the scoresheet just seven minutes later. Emile Smith Rowe got a goal back for the home side in the dying embers of the first half. The Mancunian giants went into the half-time break 3-1 up on the scoreline.

Foden scored again for Man City in the 48th minute. Sander Berge scored an unfortunate own goal in the 54th minute. However, Alex Iwobi scored for Fulham just three minutes later. Samuel Chukwueze scored a quick-fire brace late in the game, but Man City hung on and earned a hard-fought 5-4 win away from home.

Gvardiol did his fair share of defending but struggled to keep the home team quiet in the second half.

LB: Nico O’Reilly – 6.5/10

He came back to defend when needed, but lacked quality going forward.

CM: Tijjani Reijnders – 7/10

Reijnders caught the eye at times in the final third and managed to score in the 37th minute.

He anchored the midfield well but lacked quality in the opponent’s half.

Silva worked hard defensively and made two good runs with the ball.

He was a positive influence at both ends of the field and managed to score twice tonight to help Man City secure the win.

Haaland was a real handful for the Fulham centre-backs and has got a goal and an assist to show for his efforts.

He was a constant menace in the final third and ended the game with an assist to his name.
