In a recent newsletter, respected journalist Fabrizio Romano stated that Liverpool remain keen on recruiting Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo. It is believed that the Reds are eyeing a move to bring the Ghanaian talent to Merseyside next year.
Semenyo’s Impressive Form In The Premier League
Semenyo has enjoyed a decent campaign at the English club after he produced a series of impressive displays for them in the final third. The Ghana international has banged in six goals and grabbed three assists in 15 matches for the Cherries this season across multiple competitions.
The 25-year-old has proven his worth in the final third by averaging 2.29 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He has kept 53.1% of his attempts on target. However, Semenyo needs to improve his ball distribution after making 71.3% of his attempted passes in the English top tier (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the Vitality Stadium will expire in the summer of 2030. Therefore, it won’t be easy for Liverpool to sign Semenyo on a cut-price deal next year.

Will Semenyo Be A Good Fit For Liverpool Boss Arne Slot?
Semenyo has got the pace to cause a lot of headaches for his marker out in the wide areas. He can strike the ball with venom from long range and is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet.
The Ghanaian sensation has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third. He is primarily a right-winger but can also operate as a left-sided wide player or as a centre-forward if told to do so by his manager.
We can expect Semenyo to bring a lot of pace and goals to Liverpool head coach Arne Slot’s attack. He is good enough to challenge for a regular starting spot at the Merseyside club in the coming years.
At 25, Semenyo has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a decent fit for the Reds to consider this winter or at the end of this campaign. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the Merseyside club. Therefore, Slot should focus on trying everything in his power to lure him to Anfield next year.
