In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Barcelona have reignited their interest in Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez. It has been mentioned that the Catalan club are eyeing a move to bring the Argentine talent to the Nou Camp next year.
Martinez’s Impressive Form In Serie A
Martinez has enjoyed a decent run of form at the Milan club so far as he has put in a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 28-year-old has banged in 11 goals and grabbed two assists in 18 appearances for Inter Milan this season across all fronts.
The Argentine talent has led the line well for his current employers in the final third by averaging 3.93 shots per 90 minutes in Serie A. However, he has kept 26.1% of his attempts on target. Martinez has distributed the ball relatively well after completing 75.5% of his attempted passes in the Italian first division (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the Italian club will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Barcelona to snap him up on the cheap next year.

Will Martinez Be A Good Option For Barcelona Boss Hansi Flick?
Martinez is proficient at creating some space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to create some inviting chances in the final third and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet.
The Argentine talent can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals in the final third. However, it remains to be seen whether he can maintain his good form in La Liga if Barcelona manage to get him on board in 2026.
Martinez would add more firepower to Barca boss Hansi Flick’s attack. He is more than capable of earning a regular first-team spot at the Catalan club in the coming years.
At 28, Martinez is playing in his prime, which makes him an excellent option for the La Liga outfit to consider this January or at the end of this season. However, Flick has to give him some time to adjust to life at the Nou Camp before he can unlock the best out of the player.
