In a recent report, Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are facing stiff competition for Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic. It has been stated that Spurs would have to rival Manchester United, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid in the race to land the Serbian talent next year.
Vlahovic’s Impressive Form In Serie A
Vlahovic has enjoyed a good run of form at the Turin club so far in this campaign as he has managed to produce a handful of fruitful displays for them in front of the opponent’s goal. The Serbia international has scored six goals and grabbed one assist in 15 matches for Spurs this season across multiple competitions.
The 25-year-old has given a good account of himself in the opponent’s half and deserves credit for averaging 4.0 shots per 90 minutes in Serie A. He has kept 36% of his attempts on target. However, Vlahovic needs to improve his link-up play in the final third, based on his pass success rate of 68.5% in the Italian first division (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the Italian club will run out at the end of this campaign, which could open the door for Spurs to land him on the cheap next year.

Will Vlahovic Be A Good Option For Tottenham Hotspur Boss Thomas Frank?
Vlahovic is proficient at creating some space for himself to get a few shots in at goal. He can engineer the odd chance for others around him in the final third and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet.
The Serbia international can even use his robust 1.90m frame to win a few aerial duels for his team up top. However, there are some question marks over whether he can cope with the high intensity of the Premier League if Spurs manage to snap him up next year.
We can expect Vlahovic to bring more quality and depth to Tottenham head coach Thomas Frank’s first XI. He is more than capable of securing a regular first-team spot at the North London club in the coming seasons.
At 25, Vlahovic has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a decent option for Spurs to pursue this January or at the end of this campaign.
