Stones, Lewis And Ait-Nouri To Start | 4-3-3 Manchester City Predicted Lineup Vs Bayer 04 Leverkusen

Manchester City will welcome Bayer 04 Leverkusen at the Etihad Stadium this Tuesday night as they look to secure a good result at home in the UEFA Champions League. The Mancunian giants suffered a tough 2-1 loss away at Newcastle United recently, so they would be eager to bounce back by securing a win in midweek.

Pep Guardiola will set his side up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make a handful of changes to his first XI for this game. John Stones, Rico Lewis and Rayan Ait-Nouri could all play from the start of this contest.

Defence

Gianluigi Donnarumma will feature in between the sticks for Man City after shipping in a couple of goals in his last appearance. John Stones will operate alongside Josko Gvardiol at the centre of the Man City defence as they look to keep a solid shape defensively throughout the 90 minutes.

Rico Lewis will try to prove his value as the right-back, while Rayan Ait-Nouri looks to put in a solid display on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will get the license to go forward and express themselves inside the Leverkusen half.

Ruben Dias and Matheus Nunes will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Guardiola could opt for a midfield three of Phil Foden, Nico Gonzalez and Tijjani Reijnders as they focus on establishing their dominance over the opposition at the centre of the park.

Bernardo Silva will have to be content with a place on the bench as he waits for his chance to shine in the second 45 minutes if required.

Attack

Savinho could get the nod to impress as the right-sided wide player, while Jeremy Doku looks to make a difference on the left flank.

Erling Haaland will spearhead Guardiola’s attack up top. The Norway international failed to score in his last outing and would be desperate to find the back of the net versus Leverkusen this week.

Rayan Cherki and Omar Marmoush will make up the numbers on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if Man City are in need of a goal.
