In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Real Madrid are eyeing a move for Liverpool playmaker Dominik Szoboszlai. It has been stated that Los Blancos have identified the Hungary international as a target next year.
Szoboszlai’s Impressive Form In English Football
Szoboszlai is having a decent campaign at the Merseyside club as he has put in a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. The Hungarian talent has registered two goals and secured five assists in 16 appearances for Liverpool this season on all fronts.
The 25-year-old has been a decent performer in the opponent’s half and deserves credit for averaging 1.91 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He has kept 33.3% of his attempts on target. Szoboszlai has even been tidy when distributing possession after completing 83.1% of his attempted passes in top-flight football (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at Anfield will run out in the summer of 2028. Hence, it won’t be easy for Los Blancos to get a deal done for him on the cheap next year.

Will Szoboszlai Be A Dream Signing For Liverpool?
Szoboszlai can strike the ball purely and with power from long range. He has got the vision to create a few inviting chances for his teammates to find the back of the net and is an energetic runner with the ball.
The Hungarian talent also doesn’t mind putting in a tireless shift for his team defensively when needed. He is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also operate as a box-to-box midfielder or as a right-back if asked to do so.
We can expect Szoboszlai to bring more energy and dynamism to Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso’s frontline. He has what it takes to nail down a regular first-team spot at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. The Hungary international would also help Los Blancos compete for a lot of major honours over the next few years.
At 25, Szoboszlai has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a dream signing for the Madrid giants to pursue this January or at the end of this season. However, the jury is still out on whether he can maintain his good form in La Liga if Real Madrid manage to get a deal done for him next year.
