Real Madrid Are Eager To Recruit This La Liga Striker: One For The Future?

In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Real Madrid are eager to recruit Levante striker Karl Etta Eyong. It has been mentioned that Los Blancos are hoping to strengthen their attack for the long run by recruiting the Cameroonian forward, but would face competition from Atletico Madrid and Chelsea in pursuit of him next year.

Eyong’s Good Run Of Form In La Liga

The 22-year-old has caught the eye at times with his performances as the focal point of Levante’s attack this season. Eyong has scored six goals and earned three assists in 12 appearances for the Spanish outfit in this campaign across all fronts.

The Cameroonian talent has led the line well and deserves credit for averaging 2.49 shots per 90 minutes in La Liga. He has kept 50% of his attempts on target. However, Eyong needs to improve his link-up play up top, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 69.4% in top-flight football (stats via fbref.com).

His current contract at the Spanish club will run out in the summer of 2029. Hence, Real Madrid would have to launch a convincing offer if they are serious about recruiting Eyong next year.

Real Madrid Are Eager To Recruit Eyong: Is He A Prospect For The Future?

Eyong is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can create some space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates to find the back of the net and can contribute by scoring and creating a few important goals for his team.

The Cameroonian whizkid is already quite familiar with La Liga and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Real Madrid. However, he is quite inexperienced at the highest level and would need time to break into Xabi Alonso’s first team.

Eyong would add more firepower to Los Blancos’ frontline. He is more than capable of serving as an ideal understudy to Kylian Mbappe at the Madrid club.

At 22, Eyong has the potential to be a future star in European football. He is undoubtedly a prospect to watch out for in the future, so Alonso would be wise to snap him up next year.
