In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Manchester City are showing interest in Real Madrid ace Arda Guler. It has been stated that the Mancunian giants are eyeing a move to bring the Turkish talent to the Etihad Stadium next year.
Guler’s Impressive Form In Spanish Football
Guler has enjoyed a decent campaign at the Madrid club after he produced a series of impressive performances for them in La Liga. The Turkish playmaker has registered three goals and secured six assists in 16 appearances for Los Blancos this season on all fronts.
The 20-year-old has given a good account of himself in the final third as he is averaging 2.52 shots per 90 minutes in La Liga. He has kept 40.9% of his attempts on target. Guler has also been tidy when distributing the ball in the final third based on his pass completion rate of 85.5% in league football (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the Etihad Stadium will run out in the summer of 2029. Hence, it won’t be easy for Man City to sign him on the cheap next year.

Will Guler Be A Good Choice For Manchester City Boss Pep Guardiola?
Guler can shoot the ball with power and precision from long range and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet. He has got the vision to engineer a few clear-cut chances in the final third and can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals in the final third.
The Turkish sensation is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also fill in as a box-to-box midfielder or as a right-winger if asked to do so. However, only time will tell whether he can maintain his good form in the Premier League if Man City manage to get him on board next year.
We can expect Guler to add more firepower to Pep Guardiola’s frontline. He is more than capable of earning a regular first-team spot at the Mancunian club in the coming years.
At 20, the future looks quite bright for Guler as long as he continues to improve with each season. Thus, it makes sense for Man City to go all out to get him on board this January or at the end of this campaign. All in all, Guler would be a decent choice for the Mancunian giants to consider in 2026.
