Liverpool Identify This Bayern Munich Winger As A Target: Dream Signing For Slot?

In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Liverpool have identified Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise as a target. It has been mentioned that the Reds are eyeing the French wide player as a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah.

Olise’s Impressive Form In German Football

Olise has produced a run of influential displays on the right side of Bayern’s attack on the right flank. The France international has scored seven goals and earned seven assists in 17 matches for the Munich outfit this season in all competitions.

The 23-year-old has proven his worth in the final third as he is averaging 4.22 shots per 90 minutes in the Bundesliga. He has kept 47.2% of his attempts on target. Olise has even been excellent when distributing possession in the final third, based on his pass completion rate of 80.1% in the German top tier (stats via fbref.com).

His current contract at the German club will expire in the summer of 2029. Hence, the Reds would have to launch a big offer if they want to stand a chance of recruiting Olise next year.

Will Olise Be A Dream Signing For Liverpool?

Olise can strike the ball with venom and precision from long range. He has got the eye to play some decisive passes in and around the opponent’s penalty box.

The English wide player is an excellent dribbler with the ball as well. Olise is primarily a right-winger but can also operate as an attacking midfielder if required. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Liverpool.

We can expect Olise to bring more firepower to Arne Slot’s attack. He is more than capable of earning a regular first-team spot at the Merseyside club in the coming years.

At 23, Olise is already good enough to be a consistent performer in the Premier League. Hence, he would be a dream signing for the Reds to consider this January or at the end of this campaign. Olise would also help the Merseyside giants compete for a lot of major honours over the next decade. He would serve as a perfect replacement for Mohamed Salah, who has entered the twilight years of his playing career at Liverpool.
