Liverpool Are In The Running To Land This Bundesliga Forward: Decent Option For Slot?

In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Liverpool are in the running to land Bayern Munich forward Serge Gnabry. It has been mentioned that the Reds are showing interest in recruiting the German striker next year.

Gnabry’s Impressive Form In The Bundesliga

Gnabry has enjoyed a good run of form at the Bavarian club this season after he put in a series of eye-catching displays for them in the final third. The German attacker has registered four goals and earned four assists in 15 appearances for Bayern in this campaign so far across all fronts.

The 30-year-old has led the line well as he is averaging 2.85 shots per 90 minutes in the Bundesliga. He has kept 31.3% of his attempts on target. Gnabry has even distributed the ball relatively well based on his pass completion rate of 85.5% in the German top flight (stats via fbref.com).

His current contract at the German club will expire at the end of this campaign, which could open the door for the Reds to sign him on a free transfer next summer.

Will Gnabry Be A Good Option For Liverpool Boss Arne Slot?

Gnabry has got the pace to cause a lot of headaches for his marker in the final third. He remains a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the eye to play some decisive passes in and around the opponent’s penalty box.

The German sensation can shoot the ball with venom from long range. Gnabry is primarily a striker but can also play as a winger on either flank if needed. He already knows the Premier League well from his time at Arsenal and won’t take much time to adjust to life in England if the Reds manage to sign him next year.

Gnabry would bring more firepower to Liverpool head coach Arne Slot’s frontline. He is more than capable of fighting for a regular first-team spot at the Merseyside club.

At 30, Gnabry has still got a few good years left in him to play at his best. The German talent would even help Liverpool challenge across all fronts in the coming seasons. Hence, he would be a good option for the Merseyside club to consider in the short term.
