In a recent report, Fichajes revealed that Barcelona are facing stiff competition for Crystal Palace full-back Daniel Munoz. It has been stated that the Catalan club would have to rival Chelsea and Manchester City in the race to land the Colombian defender next year.
Munoz’s Impressive Form In The Premier League
Munoz has put in a string of impressive displays on the right side of Oliver Glasner’s defence this season. The Colombian talent has participated in 19 matches for the London club in this campaign so far, scoring two goals and securing two assists in multiple competitions.
The 29-year-old has given a good account of himself at right-back as he has made 29 tackles, 13 blocks, 14 interceptions and 43 clearances in the Premier League. He has even distributed possession accurately after completing 73.1% of his attempted passes in the English first division (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract with Crystal Palace will run out in the summer of 2028. Thus, Barcelona would have to make a convincing offer if they want to lure him to the Nou Camp next year.

Should Barcelona Boss Hansi Flick Snap Munoz Up?
Munoz loves a tackle and can sense the danger well to secure possession back for his team inside his half. He usually clears his lines when the opposition are on the offensive and is a decent passer of the ball as well.
The Colombian talent can even chip in by scoring and creating the odd goal for his team from the right wing. Munoz is primarily a right-back but can also serve as a centre-back if needed. However, only time will tell whether he can make a smooth transition to life in La Liga if the Catalan club can find a way to bring him on board next year.
We can expect Munoz to bring more quality and depth to Barcelona boss Hansi Flick’s defence. He has what it takes to secure regular first-team football at the Nou Camp.
At 29, Munoz is playing in his prime, which makes him a worthy target for the Catalan giants to pursue this winter or at the end of this campaign. All in all, Flick would be wise to try everything in his power to snap him up next year.
