In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Arsenal are facing stiff competition for Nottingham Forest ace Elliot Anderson. It has been mentioned that the Gunners would have to rival Chelsea and Manchester United in the race to land the English midfielder next year.
Anderson’s Impressive Form In The Premier League
Anderson has enjoyed a good run of form at the Midlands club after he produced a run of impressive displays for them in the middle of the park. The 23-year-old has registered one goal and picked up one assist in 14 matches for Nottingham this season across various competitions.
The English talent has anchored the midfield well for his current employers and has done well to make 29 tackles, 18 blocks, ten interceptions and nine clearances in the Premier League. He has also been careful when distributing possession from midfield after completing 83.4% of his attempted passes in the English top flight (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at Nottingham will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for the Gunners to get a deal done for him on the cheap next year.

Should Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta Bring Anderson On Board?
Anderson loves a tackle and can time his challenges well to earn the ball back for his side inside his half. He usually clears the danger when the opposition are on the offensive and is a good passer of the ball as well.
The English sensation is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also fill in as an attacking midfielder or as a left-sided wide player if needed. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to settle into life at Arsenal.
Anderson would inject more energy and dynamism into Mikel Arteta’s midfield department. He is more than capable of securing a regular first-team spot at the Emirates Stadium in the coming years. The English talent is good enough to help the Gunners compete across all fronts in the future.
At 23, the best is yet to come from Anderson as long as he continues to improve with each year. Therefore, it makes sense for the Gunners to go all out to bring him on board this January or at the end of this campaign.
