Sanchez, Neto And Pedro To Start | 4-2-3-1 Chelsea Predicted Lineup Vs Sunderland

Chelsea will entertain Sunderland at Stamford Bridge this Saturday afternoon as they look to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Blues managed to earn an impressive 5-1 over Ajax in midweek, which should give them a ton of confidence going into this game.

Enzo Maresca will set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first XI for this clash. Robert Sanchez, Pedro Neto and Joao Pedro could all play from the start of this game.

Defence

Robert Sanchez will feature in between the sticks for the Blues after being rested in midweek. Trevoh Chalobah will operate alongside Josh Acheampong at the heart of the Chelsea backline as they look to keep a solid shape on the defensive end of the field.

Reece James will fill in as the right-back, while Marc Cucurella hopes to impress on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

Wesley Fofana and Jorell Hato will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo will anchor the midfield for the Blues as they look to establish their superiority over the opposition at the centre of the park.

The talented trio of Alejandro Garnacho, Enzo Fernandez and Pedro Neto will function just ahead of them as part of the Chelsea attack. However, Fernandez is still recovering from a knee injury and would have to pass a late fitness test.

Jamie Gittens, Estevao and Andrey Santos will have to settle for a place on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.

Attack

Joao Pedro will spearhead Maresca’s attack in the final third. He would be eager to find the back of the net against the Black Cats this weekend.

Tyrique George and Marc Guiu will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if the Blues are in need of a goal by then.
