In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Real Madrid are preparing to move in for Juventus midfielder Khephren Thuram. It is understood that Los Blancos are showing interest in recruiting the French talent next year.
Thuram’s Impressive Form In Italian Football This Season
The 24-year-old has made a decent start to this campaign as he has put in a few impressive displays for Juve at the centre of the park. Thuram has registered one goal and grabbed one assist in nine appearances for the Turin outfit this season across multiple competitions.
The French talent deserves a ton of credit for averaging 2.36 shots per 90 minutes in Serie A. He has kept 23.1% of his attempts on target. Thuram has also distributed the ball relatively well after completing 87.7% of his attempted passes in the Italian first division (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the Allianz Stadium will run out in the summer of 2029. Hence, Los Blancos would have to make a convincing offer if they want to recruit Thuram next year.
Will Thuram Be A Good Option For Real Madrid Boss Xabi Alonso?
Thuram is a good tackler of the ball and can sense the danger well to secure the ball back for his side inside his half. He usually clears his lines when needed and can chip in by scoring and creating a few important goals for his team.
The French sensation is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also serve as a defensive midfielder if asked to do so. However, only time will tell whether he can make a smooth transition to life in La Liga if Los Blancos manage to bring him on board next year.
We can expect Thuram to bring more quality and depth to Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso’s midfield. He is more than capable of securing a regular first-team spot at the Madrid club in the coming years.
At 24, Thuram has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a decent option for Los Blancos to consider this January or at the end of this campaign. However, the jury is still out on whether he can maintain his good form in Spain. Still, Alonso would be wise to snap him up in 2026.
