Osula To Spearhead Howe’s Attack | 4-3-3 Newcastle United Predicted Lineup Vs Bradford City

Newcastle United will welcome Bradford City at St. James’ Park this Wednesday night as they try to secure a good result at home in the EFL Cup. The Magpies could only manage to grind out a 0-0 draw away at Bournemouth recently, so this game would be a good opportunity for them to return to winning ways in domestic football.

Eddie Howe will opt for the 4-3-3 formation once again and is expected to make a whole host of changes to his first XI for this game. William Osula will probably get a chance to spearhead Howe’s attack up top.

Defence

Aaron Ramsdale will function in between the sticks for Newcastle as he looks to keep a clean sheet at home. Emil Krafth will play alongside Jamaal Lascelles at the centre of Howe’s defence as they look to keep the opposition attackers frustrated during the 90 minutes.

Kieran Trippier will try to make a difference as the right-back, while Lewis Hall hopes to prove his worth on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

Sven Botman will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Howe will name a midfield comprised of Joelinton, Bruno Guimaraes and Lewis Miley for this cup game at St. James’ Park. All three of them would focus on retaining the ball well at the centre of the park and engineering some decent chances in the final third.

Joe Willock will have to settle for a place on the bench as he awaits his chance to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if required.

Attack

Harvey Barnes will try to impress as the left-sided wide player, while Anthony Elanga looks to shine as the right-winger. Both of them have to be at their best if Newcastle are to come out on top in midweek.

William Osula will lead the charge for the Magpies up top. He would be eager to find the back of the net against Bradford.

Nick Woltemade will be named on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the latter stages of the game if needed.
