Though Barcelona did well to come back after being down by two goals, they also gave away a two-goal lead in the dying minutes against Atletico Madrid. The inability to hold onto the lead is hurting them and they need to be careful in upcoming fixtures.
Hansi Flick’s side will next lock horns with Real Sociedad in the La Liga this weekend. Barcelona are table-topper but only goal difference has kept them and Real Madrid separated at the top. Hence, they cannot afford to drop even a single point.
4-2-3-1 Barcelona Predicted Lineup vs Real Sociedad
Defence
Barcelona remains unbeaten with Wojciech Szczesny as the goalkeeper. He will be operating between the sticks once again. Right-back Jules Kounde was vulnerable defensively and would look to redeem himself this weekend.
Inigo Martinez started in the previous game but Ronald Araujo is likely to pair up with Pau Cubarsi at the heart of the defence. No change at the left-back spot as Alejandro Balde continues to provide his services from there.

Midfield
It’s safe to say that Hansi Flick prefers Frenkie de Jong over Marc Casadó nowadays. Hence, the Dutchman should be starting yet again alongside Pedri in the middle of the park.
Attack
Lamine Yamal continues to operate on the right flank with Raphinha taking care of the other side of the pitch. Interestingly, Gavi could get the nod ahead of Dani Olmo for the attacking midfielder role.
For the striker role, Robert Lewandowski is certain to start, sending Ferran Torres to the bench. The latter had his opportunity against Atletico Madrid but he failed to utilize it.
Marc Bernal and Marc-Andre ter Stegen are not available while Andreas Christensen is now fully prepared to feature.
