According to Paolo Bargiggia, Manchester City are keen on signing Juventus goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio next summer. The Premier League club want to remain prepared for the situation if Ederson leaves Etihad Stadium.
Michele Di Gregorio is proving himself well
Michele Di Gregorio came through Inter Milan academy but didn’t get enough chances. As a result, he spent multiple loan spells and his current at Juventus on a loan deal. However, the deal will be made permanent next summer.

Gregorio has been a key performer between the sticks featuring across 28 games. In these many games, he managed to keep 12 clean sheets while conceding 24 goals.
The Italian shot-stopper has quick reflexes and strong hands to block all sorts of shots. He positions himself well to cut down the angles. He is also very effective with the ball at his feet, making accurate long-range passes and solid distribution.
Michele Di Gregorio can help Pep Guardiola’s side
Ederson was linked to a move to Saudi Arabia throughout the summer window. However, the deal didn’t materialize as Manchester City wanted a substantial fee for their goalkeeper. As a result, the player stayed at the end but the chapter hasn’t closed yet.
Multiple clubs remain keen on signing the Brazilian goalkeeper next summer. Hence, the Citizens want to remain prepared for such a situation. They have identified Michele Di Gregorio as an ideal fit to replace the 31-year-old.
Gregorio’s contract with Juventus runs until 2029 but they wouldn’t mind booking a profit if Manchester City arrives with a lucrative offer. However, it’s important to note that the English outfit already have Stefan Ortega at their disposal, who has already shown his huge potential between the sticks.
