As reported by ESPN, Manchester United have asked Chelsea to keep them updated about Christopher Nkunku’s future amid the Blues formulating an official bid to bring Alejandro Garnacho to Stamford in the ongoing winter window.
Christopher Nkunku is willing to leave Chelsea
After representing Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and RB Leipzig, Christopher Nkunku signed for Chelsea in the summer of 2023. While he started on an impressive note, the player has been a bit unfortunate with multiple injuries.

Nkunku has been in and out of the starting XI throughout the season so far. He has netted 13 goals and provided four assists in 28 games so far. He is averaging 1 shot, 0.6 key passes, and 0.3 dribbles per game (stats via whoscored).
The French attacker is versatile enough to play at different positions in the offensive line. He is known for his pace, effective dribbling skills, and excellent close control. He also provides key passes and finishing touches.
Manchester United might not prefer an attacker now
Though Manchester United aren’t forcing Alejandro Garnacho out, they are listening to offers for him. As things stand, Chelsea are keen on having the Argentine attacker at their disposal and already working on a formal offer.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils have also expressed interest in Christopher Nkunku. It seems like the 27-year-old is open to leaving the Blues this winter and the Old Trafford could be his next destiny if all the parties agree to work on a deal.
For now, it just remains an interest as Manchester United will have to evaluate their financial condition before making any moves. Reportedly Ruben Amorim has prioritized signing a left-back to improve the functioning of his side.
