A big challenge awaits for Aston Villa in the Premier League as they are bound to face Arsenal in their next game. The former have enjoyed decent form lately and registered a 1-0 victory over Everton. It means that they will have enough confidence and momentum behind them.
The Villans are seventh on the points table and cannot afford to drop points if they wish to secure a Champions League berth for next season. The game is also important in the sense that they will lock horns with Monaco in the Champions League just after this tie.
4-2-3-1 Aston Villa Predicted Lineup vs Arsenal
Defence
Emi Martinez kept another clean sheet in the league and he will have a key role to play against the Gunners. Matty Cash continues in the lineup at his usual right-back position.
The centre-back duo of Ezri Konsa and Tyrone Mings remain intact. They will have to be on their toes to restrict Arsenal’s attackers. Lucas Digne is also retained as the left-back in the unchanged backline.
Midfield
Boubacar Kamara was brilliant on his previous outing and a similar sort of performance will be expected from him. He will have the company of Amadou Onana once again in the middle of the park.
Attack
Morgan Rogers is operating on the right wing once again with Youri Tielemans playing in the central areas as an attacking midfielder. However, Unai Emery might bench Jacob Ramsey to manage his workload considering recent injuries.
In the latter’s absence, Leon Bailey should get the go on the left flank. Though Jhon Duran is yet to feature in 2025, Ollie Watkins is likely to lead the attacking line again this weekend.
Pau Torres (foot), Ross Barkley (calf) and John McGinn (thigh) are confirmed absentees while Diego Carlos has suffered from a small injury.
