Liverpool are sitting atop of the Premier League points table with a comfortable gap of six points despite having played a game lesser. Their next fixture is against Manchester United in the league at home this Sunday, which will be a high-voltage game.
The Reds will be the hot favourites going into the clash as their form hasn’t been unmatchable. Arne Slot’s men would like to collect all three points to not only celebrate another big victory but also maintain their domination this season.
4-2-3-1 Liverpool Predicted Lineup vs Manchester United
Defence
Alisson Becker didn’t have much to do against West Ham United. He will take up the gloves for the Reds once again. It’s not even a debate that Trent Alexander-Arnold is the right-back in the lineup.
Joe Gomez limped off the pitch and he is unlikely to feature in this game. Jarell Quansah should be forming the centre-back duo with Virgil van Dijk. Left-back Andy Robertson didn’t look enough comfortable but might keep his spot.
Midfield
The duo of Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch is providing good yields for Arne Slot and hence, there is no reason to change anything in the middle of the park.
Attack
The dangerous Mohamed Salah operates on the right wing without any surprise. While Cody Gakpo is deployed on the other flank, Curtis Jones is likely to make way for Dominik Szoboszlai for the attacking midfielder role.
Luis Diaz will be used as the number nine which he has adopted well so far.
Joe Gomez is a confirmed absentee while the likes of Ibrahima Konate, Conor Bradley, and Federico Chiesa are doubtful. The trio continue to build up their respective fitness but might not start in a high-voltage game like this.
