Liverpool must be disappointed with the result they yielded against a struggling Manchester United. They had to settle for a 2-2 draw at home and let go of two points. Though they are still leading the Premier League charts with a comfortable gap, they would like to revisit their performance.
The Reds have their next game lined up against Tottenham Hotspur in the EFL Cup semi-final. The first leg will be played at Spurs’ home. Hence, it will not be an easy fixture for Arne Slot’s men and they need to bounce back strongly.
4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup vs Tottenham Hotpsur
Defence
No doubt that Caoimhin Kelleher will be operating between the sticks in the place of Alisson Becker. Right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold had a disastrous night against United and he is expected to make way for Conor Bradley.
While Ibrahima Konate continues at the heart of the defence, Virgil van Dijk gets a well-deserving rest. In his place, Jarell Quansah could be deployed on the field. Kostas Tsimikas also finds himself as the left-back, putting Andrew Robertson on the bench.
Midfield
Arne Slot wouldn’t be hesitating in altering his entire midfield to keep them fresh for other competitions. Hence, Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister, and Curtis Jones are making way for Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endō, and Tyler Morton in the middle of the park.
Attack
The attacking line consisting of Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, and Cody Gakpo is also changed with the likes of Darwin Nunez, Harvey Elliott, and Diogo Jota.
Not many injury worries for the Reds as only Joe Gomez remains sidelined with a hamstring problem while Dominik Szoboszlai is expected to return from illness.
