Newcastle United beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 in the last game in the Premier League. With their latest win, they must be carrying a lot of confidence ahead of their next big battle which lies against Arsenal in the EFL Cup semi-final round on Tuesday.
It will be a tough match for the Magpies as the game is at the Gunners’ den. However, they have all the resources and momentum on their side to achieve a big positive result and create their position for the second leg.
4-3-3 Newcastle United Predicted Lineup vs Arsenal
Defence
Martin Dubravka had a decent game against Spurs and will have a big role to play again this week. Kieran Trippier is likely to come into the XI at the cost of right-back Tino Livramento.
While Dan Burn continues at the heat of the defence, Sven Botman should be making way for Lloyd Kelly. However, Lewis Hall continues as the sole left-back in the lineup.
Midfield
Sandro Tonali is the engine of the side with Joelinton supporting him in the middle of the park. As Bruno Guimaraes is suspended for this fixture, Sean Longstaff takes his place in the starting lineup.
Attack
While Jacob Murphy is operating on the left wing, Anthony Gordon is taking care of the right flank. As usual Alexander Isak plays as the striker and leads the attacking line.
Emil Krafth (shoulder), Nick Pope (knee), Callum Wilson (thigh) and Jamaal Lascelles (knee) are unavailable due to injured while both Fabian Schar and Bruno Guimaraes are suspended. The latter two were booked for the second time in this season in the quarter-final round.
