According to TBR, Aston Villa have been running behind Loic Bade for some time and is set to win the race. The report states that the Premier League club are in advanced talks with Sevilla for the transfer of the player in the ongoing window.
Loïc Badé is doing well for Sevilla
Loïc Badé moved to Sevilla in the January window of 2023 following a failed loan spell at Nottingham Forest. Since joining the Spanish side, the player has been able to reignite his career and establish himself as a valuable member in the squad.
Bade has been decently well in the ongoing campaign so far. He has featured across 17 games and has one assist to his name. He is averaging 2.1 tackles, 0.9 interceptions, and 4.1 clearances per game (stats via whoscored).
The French centre-back is solid with his tackles and ball interceptions. He marks an aerial dominance and remains focused throughout the 90 minutes. He is also comfortable on the ball, can dribble and often clears the ball out of danger.
Aston Villa sold Diego Carlos to make space for Loïc Badé
Aston Villa aren’t only looking to strengthen the offensive unit but also work on the defensive woes to be able to compete for the trophies. Earlier, they were interested in bringing Oscar Mingueza home but they recently dropped that idea.
Now the Villans have their entire focus shifted towards Loic Bade. The centre-back has already proven himself in the La Liga and he can be a valuable addition for many years to come. His prior Premier League experience will surely help in settle down well.
Aston Villa have agreed a deal to offload Diego Carlos to make way for the 24-year-old defender. The English club and the Spanish outfit are in advanced talks and might settle for £30 million including add-ons for the transfer of the player.
