Tottenham Hotspur faced an unexpected defeat at the hands of Bournemouth in the Premier League this week. Hence, they will be under pressure and desperate to return to winning ways when they take on Chelsea this weekend.
Spurs are 10th on the points table with 20 points after 14 rounds of play. They need to buckle up and show more consistently in their performance. The game against the Blues will be a good opportunity to turn things around for sure.
4-3-3 Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup Vs Chelsea
Defence
Fraser Forster has been doing well to fill Guglielmo Vicario’s shoes as the latter is unavailable due to an ankle injury. The former will be donning the gloves once again.
Cristian Romero’s participation is still doubtful and if he fails to get the green light, Archie Gray should form the heart of the defence with Radu Dragusin. Left-back Destiny Udogie will keep his place as usual with Pedro Porro walking into the XI as the right-back.
Midfield
Ange Postecoglou might prefer benching James Maddison to add more firepower to the attacking line. However, the trio of Yves Bissouma, Dejan Kulusevski and Pape Matar Sarr should continue to take onto the field in the middle of the park.
Attack
Dropping Maddison will allow the return of Son Heung-min in the lineup. The star attacker will operate on the left wing. Both Brennan Johnson and Dominic Solanke should continue to play at their usual spots in the offensive pack.
Micky van de Ven (hamstring), Rodrigo Bentancur (suspended), Guglielmo Vicario (ankle), Richarlison (hamstring), Mikey Moore (illness), Wilson Odobert (hamstring), and Ben Davies (hamstring) are all unavailable for this game due to the mentioned injuries.
