After extracting a 3-3 draw against Liverpool, Newcastle United failed to keep the momentum going. They faced a 4-2 defeat at the hands of Brentford, which didn’t settle well with many fans. Hence, they need to do something remarkable in their next game.
The Magpies will next lock horns with Leicester City in the Premier League this weekend. The good thing is that they will play the match in their own den. Hence, with the support of the home crowd, they can overpower the visitors.
4-3-3 Newcastle United Predicted Lineup Vs Leicester City
Defence
Nick Pope was shaky in the previous game but is unlikely to face any heat. No doubt that he will be operating between the sticks. Right-back Tino Livramento struggled to do well and might lose his position to Kieran Trippier.
The centre-back duo of Fabian Schar and Dan Burn remain intact. However, the former needs to step up and contribute more significantly. Lewis Hall also looked a bit rushy but should retain his position in the starting lineup.
Midfield
While Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton continue in the middle of the park, Sean Longstaff could be making way for Sandro Tonali. The midfield unit was ineffective in the previous game and they need to do more to help the side secure positive results.
Attack
Harvey Barnes and Alexander Isak are again forming the offensive pack. However, Anthony Gordon might earn a start time at the cost of Jacob Murphy.
Joe Willock picked up a hamstring injury last weekend and his participation is doubtful. On the other side, both Emil Krafth and Sven Botman are confirmed absentees and they will sidelined for the rest of the year for sure.
