As per TEAMtalk, Manchester United are interested in signing Bayern Munich veteran Leon Goretzka next summer. The Premier League club believe the experienced player can improve their midfield unit significantly.

Leon Goretzka arrived at Bayern Munich in the summer of 2018 from Schalke 04. Since then he has been a consistent performer at the club. He has played a key role in the German club’s success over the past few decades.
Goretzka had a good time last season where he turned up 42 times and found the back of the net six times. In the process, he also assisted 11 goals. He averaged 1.9 shots. 1.1 key passes, and 0.4 dribbles per game (stats via whoscored).
The German midfielder is versatile to adapt to different roles in the middle of the park. He can showcase his defensive traits while featuring as a deep-lying guy. On the other hand, he can also operate higher on the pitch and contribute directly to goal creation.
Leon Goretzka isn’t getting enough game time this season
Manchester United made some notable recruitments this summer but their problem still persists. They haven’t done well so far and lack quality, especially in the midfield. If they wish to transform into a winning side, they surely need to bolster the midfield section.
In that hope, the Red Devils could be making a move for Leon Goretzka next summer. The 29-year-old’s role has been on a diminishing spree this season and he might be leaving the German club at the end of the campaign in search of regular game time.
