According to Fichajes, Liverpool are keen on signing Eintracht Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush as they want to improve the attacking line. The Premier League club are ready to offer a £58 million fee to bring the talented youngster home.
Omar Marmoush is breathing fire
Omar Marmoush arrived at Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2023 after representing multiple clubs earlier. Since then, he has taken huge strides in his career. He has established himself as a reliable name and one of the most exciting attackers in the world.
Marmoush has been in a red-hot form this season. He has already netted 13 goals and provided nine assists in 15 outings so far. He is averaging 3.5 shots, 2.3 key passes, and 2 dribbles per game (stats via whoscored).
The Egyptian primarily plays as a striker but can also feature on the left wing if required. He has great dribbling skills, passing vision, and clinical finishing abilities. Off the ball, he also presses the opponents aggressively and helps his side immensely.
The signing can be executed next summer
Liverpool have two notable names in the form of Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota for the striker role. However, while the former has struggled to provide consistency, the latter is injury-prone. Hence, the club’s interest in Omar Marmoush is understandable.
Marmoush’s arrival will surely strengthen the concerned role and bring new elements into the team. As he is versatile and skilful, Arne Slot will be able to use him in other positions as well. The player is just 25, meaning he can contribute many years to come.
Liverpool are reportedly ready to offer £58 million to sign the Egyptian. But it remains to be seen if Eintracht Frankfurt will accept the bid or not. One thing is sure they won’t let the attacker leave in the January window as he is an important part of the squad.
