Jhon Duran To Start The Game | 4-2-3-1 Aston Villa Predicted Lineup Vs Club Brugge

Aston Villa saw a devastating 4-1 defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League. A win could’ve placed them third on the points table but as they dropped three points, they remain at the sixth position.

The Villans are scheduled to lock horns with Club Brugge in the Champions League this midweek. They already have three wins in three games in the competition and would like to continue their unbeaten run.

Defence

Emiliano Martinez did make a few good saves but conceded four at the end of the day. Hence, he will be extra motivated to do well in this game. Matty Cash wasn’t convincing enough and therefore, Ezri Konsa is likely to operate as the right-back.

It also means Diego Carlos could be starting the game and form the centre-back duo with Pau Torres. Lucas Digne did decently well in the previous game but if he is rested, Ian Maatsen should be the left full-back.

Midfield

With Ross Barkley sidelined due to an injury and Boubacar Kamara fighting against match fitness, Unai Emery doesn’t have enough flexibility in the midfield. He will have to field the duo of Amadou Onana and Youri Tielemans in the middle of the park.

Attack

Morgan Rogers should once again operate as the attacking midfield with Jacob Ramsey and John McGinn operating on the wings. Striker Ollie Watkins had a frustrating night against Tottenham Hotspur and he is likely to be replaced by Jhon Duran.

Tyrone Mings has returned from a long injury and might get some minutes in the second half. Luckily, the Villans have only one absentee in the form of Barkley.
