In a recent report on Patreon, journalist Alan Nixon claimed that Everton are keeping tabs on West Bromwich Albion winger Tom Fellows. It has been revealed that the Toffees are eyeing a move to acquire the services of the English wide player next year.
Fellows’ Impressive Form In The EFL Championship
Fellows has proved his worth as a consistent performer on the right side of West Brom’s attack during this campaign. The 21-year-old deserves a lot of credit for picking up five assists in 12 matches for the Baggies this season across various competitions.
The talented winger has been a decent contributor on the right flank and has done well to average 1.3 shots, 1.3 key passes and 0.9 dribbles per game in the EFL Championship. He has even been accurate when distributing possession after completing 86.6% of his attempted passes in the second tier of English football (stats via whoscored).
Fellows is under contract at West Brom until the summer of 2027 which could make it tough for Everton to snap him up on a cut-price deal next year.
What Will Fellows Add To Everton Boss Sean Dyche’s Side?
Fellows is a good dribbler with the ball and can make some promising runs with it out in the wide areas. He has got the eye to cut open the opponent’s defence with a killer pass and can shoot the ball with power from long range.
The English talent has done well to add a few assists to his game this season. However, he has still got a lot of room for improvement and would need time to prove his worth in the Premier League if Everton manage to get a deal over the line for him next year.
Fellows would add more firepower to Sean Dyche’s frontline and could help the Toffees compete for a top-half finish in Premier League football in the future. Thus, it makes sense for the Merseyside club to go for a player of his quality this January or at the end of this season.
At 21, the future looks quite bright for Fellows as long as he continues to improve with each year. All in all, Everton would be wise to bring him on board soon.
